Undefeated 18-0 (4 KO) Heather “The Heat” Hardy receives the WBC Belt in the first televised women’s boxing match in almost 20 years. Hardy is professional boxer from Brooklyn NY and has been “fighting” for the last year to get women’s boxing the visibility it deserves on national TV. Her efforts finally paid of this past Sunday August 21, 2016 when Premier Boxing Champions and NBC Sports aired the fight, bringing women’s boxing back with the crowd on their feet chanting “Hardy” through the entire program. The historical event occurred on the same day the USA received its 2nd consecutive Olympic Gold Medal ever in boxing, both won by the same women. “This just means so much to women’s boxing — they can’t ignore us anymore” Heather Hardy.
Heather was the first woman to be signed to a long term promotional contract to DiBella Entertainment, currently the biggest boxing promoter in NY. She is also the first woman to box professionally and be put on card at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and now the first to be on national television in almost 15 years.
She trains at World Famous Gleason’s Gym located in Brooklyn, New York which has been home to many boxing champions over the years. In her spare time, she is a personal boxing trainer working with celebrities and business professionals.
